From
affiliated gang member
to wellbeing advocate
Eric Agyeman is an author, keynote speaker and youth advocate on a mission to impact 1 million students by 2031.
“As the only African in my school, bullying was a daily occurence.”
As the only African student in his primary school, he was the target of constant teasing, isolation, and fear. The bullying led to chronic absences, overwhelming anger, and emotions he didn’t yet know how to name or handle. By Year 8, he’d been suspended four times.
In high school, Eric was affiliated with a gang and was labelled “at-risk”. But two decades later, in 2022, he was honoured with the African Australian Community Impact Award for his work both locally and across Africa.
Today, Eric is the author of four best-selling books and a passionate advocate for young people. His story of overcoming mental health struggles, suicidal thoughts, and gang involvement shows students that your past doesn’t define your future. No matter your background or mistakes, you can still rise and make your life count.
“It is easier to raise strong children than to repair broken men”

We believe eradicating bullying from schools is the #1 deciding factor to help our next generation succeed.
